Electrical problem
1988 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 72,000 miles

I have a 1988 Jaguar XJ6 and I am trying to install a Viper Alarm System on it. The system has the capability to lock/unlock the doors via the remote button. I believe the Jaguar system works by sending low/high voltage to lock/unlock the doors, but the alarm system's installation uses negative/positives to lock/unlock. I was wondering if you guys knew how I could install this system on such an old car or if it is even possible.

Hey, don't knock the '88s, I've got one. To answer your question, you should be able to make the viper system work. You will need a wiring diagram. If you don't have one, give me a fax # and I'll send you one.
