We just got an Accelerator Pedal Module put on our 2001 S-type. The bill came back for $500 for the part and 2.5 hours for Diagnostic and 2.5 hours of Installation and Programming (grand total $1,000). Does this seem fair to you? Any responses from you will not be used against you. I just want to get an idea of the cost of this type of procedure. Thanks so much for your help.

Our estimator doesnt have a labor time for the accelerator pedal assembly or any of the work you had done. Jag doesnt always release all of their info to the public. Im not surprised at all by the amount of the bill. Try calling a different Jag dealer and explain what the car is doing and tell them that a Jag specialty shop told you it was the accelerator pedal assembly and ask them for an out-the-door price on replacing and programming it

Hello, the diag labor is about right in my apion. But the labor to install to me is a little too high. It is not that hard to install the pedal into the car, and they have to use the computer to clear the codes any way so reprogramming should not be over this. I would say around 1.5 hrs to install and program.
