I am replacing an oil pan gasket and need to know if the trany needs to be removed or slid back to get the pan clear of th cross mermber any tricks would help

I just replaced my oil pan gasket on my 91 4zd1 engine, and you can remove the engine mounting bolts, and distributer cap, and raise the engine up just far enough to replace the gasket without messing with the transmission. Any questions at stungme@comcast. Net
