2001 Isuzu Trooper Code P0205 and P0300

Hi,

My personal Mechanic put the code reader on my trooper and the reader show a misfired on injector 5. I took it to the dealer and they told me its the PCM has short circuit. It will cost me around $1100. Before I spend that money I want to make sure this is the problem. Please help

Hi hoyosj,

P0205 is a short in the injector circuit and it could be the PCM, injector or its wiring. If testing had been performed and confirmed the injector and wiring to be good, then the PCM is likely to be faulty.

If you have not performed any test, try swapping the injector with another cylinder to cinfirm it is good.

For P0300 it is random misfire and is due to the P0205 code.

Hi,

We changed the injector for a new one and the problem continue. We checked the wires and its volts were fine 0.6 also we put brand new spark plug. Thanks a lot I think I get come up with $1100.
