I have a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse thats been giving me problems since the day i bought it. I bought it off some dude, he told me that it only needed an mass air flow sensor to be in good driving conditions. I bought it, installed it, reset the computers and it drove great. I till I shut it off and turned it back on again. The engine light turned on. Then it continued to have a rough idle. I try Turing on my car and it idles poorly then eventually cocks out. I've also replaced the idle control valve.

Never believe "all it needs is . . ." If that were true, the seller would have done the repair rather than give on the car and sell it.

The first thing you need to do is read and record the diagnostic fault code numbers. The people at many auto parts stores will do that for you for free.
