Is it necessary to replace my clicking actuator

The actuator is clicking in my car and I cannot afford to pay $200.00 to $500.00 to have it replaced at a shop. Turning the knob to the recirculated air kicks on the AC motor which stops the clicking, but sucks the gas (like every AC does).

Is it vital that the thing needs replaced right away or can I just deal with the annoying clicking?

Try pulling HAVC fuse inside car it may reset it remove it for sixty seconds with key on then reinstall. If not it will need to be replaced especially if it is blend door and you will have no heat.

When you pull the fuse it resets the actuator, so it may stop clicking that you are experiencing. If not the actuator is probably bad.
