Is it a transmisson problem or electrical problem

I own a 2000 ford taurus with a 3.0 v6 engine an im having a problem where as the battery light is on an when I goes to drive the car it stall or comes to a stop after a few second maybe minutes of an as I press gass the engine is running but there is no movement

Most likely the trans problem is somehow related to the electrical issue. Have you checked to make sure all grounds are clean and tight? Also, are battery terminals clean and tight?

Do a visual inspection of the battery terminals, the main ground from the battery to the engine block. If everything looks good, Also, you should have the electrical system checked. The battery, alternator. Should be inspected. Most parts stores will do it for free.

NOTE: I assume that when it won't move, the engine still revs.

Okay, then the trans isn't engaging. Start by checking electrical connections as I mentioned.
