Every time I turn on my truck and lock it, usually the lights will be on for a minute but now the closer stays on until my battery drains. I replaced the fuse, and it still does the same thing. For now, I have unplugged the BCM until I can solve this issue.

Good morning,

Check the headlight switch and make sure it is not holding the lights on. Rotate the knob.

Otherwise, it could be the body control module. It should be covered under warranty.

Just to jump in on this one, if the vehicle is over 36k miles, then the BCM may not be covered. However, Roy is most likely correct that if the cluster is remaining on until you unplug the BCM it may be the BCM.

I have seen this issue a couple of times and the way we need to prove what is causing the cluster to stay on is to remove fuses until it shuts off.

However, while it could be other things the likely cause is the BCM. If we can get the cluster to shut off with a fuse and the BCM plugged in, then that will narrow it down to a single circuit and help confirm this.

I am attaching the wiring diagrams for this as this will help us narrow it down. Once we know what fuses cause the cluster to shut off, we will have a better idea what direction to go.

Do you have the classic DS truck or the new DT? Send me the last eight of the VIN and I can find a part number for the BCM.

Take a look at the wiring diagram and you will see the fuses related. It looks like 24, 26, 27 in the IPC.

I attached the BCM replacement process below which does require programming. Let me know and we can go from there.

Thanks

Got it. Thanks. Here is the BCM for this VIN.

68444252AD

Again, this will need to be programmed because it needs to learn the build configuration and the key information so that you can start the truck.

Please let us know what other info you need.

Thanks
