1993 Infiniti G20 idel

I just got the car and I knew it needed a tune up. When u start the car then rpm's go from 500 to 1000 like it is missing out. When u are driving it its fine but once u stop at a light it starts missing out again. Once its warmed up it still does it a little but not as bad. I just changed the oil and spark plugs. But not the wires yet and its a little better but very little. Any clue what it could be?

Seems the idling speed is erratic and this condition is known as surging.

Quite often the problem is caused by dirty throttle bodies, IAAC and MAF.

Get them cleaned and retest. If you are into DIY, get a can of carb cleaner from the parts store and you can do the job yourself.
