I have a remote start installed 6 years ago. I was camping started the truck remotely as usual loaded kids in truck. Got In truck and inserted original key as always and truck would not accelerate. I noticed to dashboard alarm icon on opened my manual and said the original alarm had activated and it will not start. I have tried the instructions in manual to start truck with the original key. I don’t have the original key fob to the truck. I also tried to disconnect the battery cable to reset. Any advice? I cannot find the fuse for the alarm either. My manual doesn’t give a diagram and the lid to fuse box doesn’t give the alarm fuse. Thank you

After reading the scroll the bottom of page to find Nissan.Let me know if this works and we'll go from there. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hello again.

It seems in my resources that Nissan doesn't like to share fuse diagrams. Did you look in your Nissan owners manual to see if there is a fuse location page? Also, just curious to know if you remember the brand and or model number of the remote start that was installed? In the mean time I'll continue to look into this issue. Let me know and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Hey Danny,

Yes, I looked in my book. Does not give me the fuse diagram. I honestly can’t remember the alarm that was installed.
Thanks again.

Hello again.

In your initial post you said the truck doesn't accelerate. Does this mean the truck starts and drives but just doesn't accelerate? Let me know and I'm still looking into this issue for you. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Hello again.

Sorry to hear that. The factory alarm function is controlled by the BCM-body control module along with other functions. If the BCM is replaced it is not just plug-n-play it will have to be programmed to your particular truck. Nissan wants $700.00 just for the BCM. You can find them online as well as companies that offer refurbished units but, Remember you have to have them programmed to your truck as well.I'll continue to keep you updated as to what I find. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
