So, what happened was when I was backing into a parking space my truck sometimes cuts off due to low power when I turn the wheel to one side. So, it cut off one time. I put it in neutral and it started back up. Then I kept backing up then it completely cut off and shut off. My battery has power, my ignition won't turn on truck anymore. I have power, what could be the problem?

Does the engine crank when you turn the key or is this a no crank no start issue?

Meaning when you turn the key does the engine try to start?

I assume it does not do anything and if this is the case then the likely issue is either the starter or the ignition switch.

Here is a guide that talks about this:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/starter-not-working-repair

So, this means we need to go to the starter and check for power. If there is 12 volts on the purple wire when cranking, then the starter is the issue.

However, if you have no power, you can go back to the switch and just verify it is not coming out of the switch, but this is a safe bet at this point.

So, take a look at the wiring diagram below and that will illustrate this as well.

Please run through this and let me know what questions you have. Thanks
