My ignition tumbler or switch is broken. When the car is running I can pull the keys out way too easily without turning car off. It also keeps my accessories on, like my stereo, which in turn drains my battery. What should I do?

Hello,

You have the solution, the ignition key tumbler sounds like it is worn out and needs replacement. Here are some diagrams to help you get the job done.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

My 2004 Tiburon GT (6 cylinder) was broken into, and the person jimmied the lock cylinder with a screwdriver. Can't insert the key. I dropped the steering column to expose the assembly (image), but I can't get the little nipple to release when depressed by a screwdriver. What's next?

Spray wd40 inside to help release the tumbler also you will need to try and turn the key back and forth, this should help get the key lock out. Please upload a video of the problem if this doesn't work.
