I changed the mass air sensor it took care of the problem for about a few weeks then it came back. I thought it was a faulty sensor so I replaced it and again it worked for a week or two and then started doing it again. what could it be?

Are you using an OEM part? I have had issues with aftermarket lower priced parts failing. Normally, I would tell you to check for engine vacuum leaks, fuel pressure, and things like that. However, since the new part fixes it for a couple weeks, it sounds like a bad part.

Is the connector clean and tight, free of corrosion? Did you check for diagnostic trouble codes?

Let me know.
