I was given the impression it had active park assist and adaptive cruise control. The lack of these options are deal breakers regarding this purchase. Needless to say, the buttons needed are not installed on my car, which leads me to believe my dealer lied or was not well versed on the capabilities. Anyhow, I would be happy to pay to have these features added but I'm unsure as to whether or not this is possible. I do have the full navigation package with a backup camera and front and back sensors. I also have blind spot recognition. I am hoping the features it already has will allow me to have the others installed after the fact. I've searched and searched online but can't get an answer.

I have to be honest, I don't believe this is something that can be added. Did the dealer tell you it had that option?

Yes, the web advertisement listed parking assist. He told me at the dealership it came equipped with adaptive cruise control. I know I am grasping at straws but we drove out of state to purchase one with the right options. It isn't just a run down the road to return it. I know park assist is pretty intricate but I was hoping adaptive could easily be installed since the other options come with front and back sensors.

I wish I could say it would be easy, but to the best of my knowledge, it can't be done.

I would be furious. They have to give you your money back if they falsely advertised the vehicle. I would either return the vehicle (which I realize would be a trip) or I would demand that they refund a substantial amount of the cost.

Let me know if I can help.

All my research points to the same results, it can't be added. I put an inquiry in with Lincoln/Ford, maybe I will get lucky and they will have a solution. I wouldn't bet on it, though. Taking off work, gas, hotel, etc doesn't seem like an option so we are pursuing they bring the price down some. I don't think they intentionally lied. I believe they were just not knowledgeable enough. Either way, the burden to rectify it falls on them. We shall see. Thanks so much for you input and suggestions. It helps to hear someone else agree that this situation is not right. The unfortunate part is, should we not receive some credit, we won't buy Lincoln/Ford again. The dealerships are a reflection of the brand. Thanks again!

I agree and certainly wouldn't purchase one from that dealer. I understand not wanting to take off work and drive to return the vehicle. However, they should make it right by discounting the cost of the vehicle.

Let me know how things work out for you.
