Hey I have another question, when to have the emissions test my car did not pass. They told me I have drive and put like fifty or one hundred miles on it. But I do not know what that has to do with no engine light on. The paper said I failed. How is that a problem too. I want to know what do I need to do to fix my problem and keep it from failing emissions test?

Do you know which monitor or monitors have not completed yet? Upload a photo of the failed report.

This means you have cleared the engine codes hopefully after a repair and the car's computer is going through its testing to see if everything is working okay. That is why you need to drive it.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Normally a fifteen to twenty minute drive should set your monitors. When you drive keep your speed around fifty to fifty five miles per hour and try not to use the brake so keep a safe distance with any cars in front of you. Do not use the A/C or heater. After connect your scanner to make sure your monitors completed.

Looking at your report it appears the CAT monitor is pending. Depending on what brand oxygen sensor you replaced it may take some time. If you have a hard time running the CAT monitor you may want to try another brand oxygen sensor. Also check for any pending codes that could be effecting the monitor. Good luck on the drive cycle and let us know how it goes.
