The battery in my keyless remote died, and I made the mistake of opening the driver's side door with the key. Now, the alarm goes off any time I open the door and the car won't start. I talked with Hyndai and was told to disconnect the car battery with the key in the ignition on the "on" position. I did that. The car still won't start and the alarm still blares. What can I do?

Hi rom285,

Replace the battery in the remote and use it to disarm the alarm.

There ought to be a manual alarm disarm switch which you press with the ignition on to disarm.

If without manual disarm switch, try turning ignition on and off repeatedly (should be 5 to 10 times) and see if the alarm is disarmed.
