2001 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a hyundai santa fe 2001 model automatic but I dont have an engine finding the engine has been very difficult or very expensive, so I would like to know if you could kindly tell me what engine from what other cars I could fit in and it would match without lots of modifications.

We always recommend a direct replacement. Anything is possible, but the amount of work and money that is needed to modify the car to accept another engine isn't worth the effort. As far as a different engine that will fit, none will directly fit.
