I own a 2001 Hyundai Accent 4cl manual transmission with about 73,000 miles. On it I tested the alternator today and it is low (about 10.8) I need a new alternator. What is a reasonable repair cost. Or better yet should it still be under warranty by the company?

The altenator is out of warranty with that year and mileageunless you have an extended contract when you bought the vehicle, as far as a good price for installing the altenator I really cant give you because every garage widely ranges in labor prices. Your best bet if your worried about cost is have the garage show you the book time of the job in a labor time manual I think that job close to an hours labor in cluding testing system
