2005 Hyundai Elantra check engine light

When I disconnect the battery & reconnect it the "Check Engine" light disappears, only to reappear in a few days.

Thats because you must repair whatever is causing the engine light to appear before you can erase the light. You will need to pull the trouble code(s) that are stored and fix the issue, most local auto part stores will pull codes for free. Post codes here and I will follow up with repair instructions.
