About a month ago my car started idling at 3,000 rpms for a couple minutes then it would drop back down to normal. Just a couple days ago it, after it settled back to a normal idle, it seemed to drop too low, idle roughly for a couple minutes then die. Its now done this several times. When I give it some rev it, or just drive it, it has no problems.

Hi tazz987,

Thank you for the donation.

I would suggest checking the Idle Air Control valve. It could be dirty causing intermittent malfunctioning. Get it cleaned and the throttle body as well and ensure the coolant level is correct and retest.
