My check enging light came on, I went to the auto parts store and they did the codes for me, it said P0507, and has something to do with the idle. (I knew that). When I start the car it idles up and down, at times very high, it does not stall out but seams to want to run fast. Is there anything I can do myself (female, no experience) to fix this. Thank you very much.

Check for faulty ISC (idle speed control) actuator, actuator valve or wiring to the actuator. Also check for vacuum leaks and ensure throttle lever and return spring are clean and not sticking or binding.
