I just purchased this car and the vechicle inspection station told me I have a code number P0128. Before I take it to my mechanic to pay for a repair I could possibly I do, I would like to know what the code points to. I have not been able to find the description on the web so far.

P0128 Range/Performance Problem In Thermostat

you mosrlikely just need to change the thermostat, so dont let these people run one on ya, see what they say first, and see if they try to pull on over on ya, then tell them what you know, and report them to dmv

Thanks for the reply, The Thermostat did do the trick. It seems that it just did not get up to operating temperature some time and caused the light.

I garauntee, that if you would've took it to a shop without knowing what you know now, they would've said something else was wrong with it. Its a sad reality. Not all shops are like that though. You just need to pay attention and be careful. Some are just predators
