I am changing my alternator I am not sure if the diagram is correct for my vehicle and the adjustment bolt on the tension-er pulley will not adjust. Should I try to remove the tension-er pulley to loosen the belt and remove the alternator? I have the Passport model.

Loosen the bolts in picture where arrows are to remove belt then re-tighten. However, you should have a belt tension gauge so as to not over tighten belts.
