Electrical problem
1990 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

Tach does not work after an engine to battery ground problem was repaired. All other gauges work. Needle moves slightly when ignition is turned on but stays at about six o'clock when engine is running.

Hi Jesterman,

An electrical surge had caused the tachometer to ovetshoot and is now resting at 6 o'clock position.

Remove the meter assy and turn the needle anticlockwise to the resting position and it should be ready to work again.
