2000 Honda Odyssey catalitic converter

I got a massachusetts state inspection sticker and 5 days later a check engine light came on. Honda says my cat converter needs to be replaced. Shouldn't this have appeared on the inspection report?

Hi Carl,

What is the trouble code that you are getting?
Was the CEL showing prior to inspection?

During inspection the readings could have been within specs so did not show on the report.
