First my speedo started to flatuate then the d4 auto indicator light in dash started to flash and engine check light came on I checked oil water etc every thing ok still ran no problem. If I stopped engine and restart lights ok but speedo on and off still then after a while auto d4 light starts to flash and engine check light comes on.

Hi Ross,

The speed sensor is bad causing the erratic speedometer reading and it would cause the Check Engine Lamp to illuminate and the D4 lmap to blink after driving for a short while.

Speed sensor is located on the transmission differential housing, under the thermostat housing.
