Idle low, stalling

I have a 1993 honda civic lx w/ 120,000 miles. Bought it used and it has been nothing but trouble. When I purchased it, the tranny was slipping so I made the seller replace the tranny. Now it idles very low and stalls. I do not lose power to any accessories, or have starting problems or running issues. The diagnostic showed no problem codes. Just had tune-up and oil change, along with new transmission. Can I just raise the idle? If so, where would I locate this. Throttle body? And how do I raise it?

Could be O2 or Idle sensor but it should have shown a code. Does the idle drop when in park, was the trans rebuilt or replaced with a used one? If it has an electric torque converter it could be locking-up too soon or they forgot to plug it back in.

Reply to your reply. Yes the idle speed should return to normal in or out of gear. If the problem was not there before the trans was replaced and only does this when hot, I would get another opion from another trans shop. Or call autozone and tell them what is going on, they have helped me many times. Good luck.

Show me an honest mechanic and i'll show you a God fearing man!
