I just recently installed a better intake manifold gasket and when I put it all back together I didnt have a torque wrench so I tightened the manifold bolts tight, So when I was on the freeway doing 80mph my car bogged down and then stalled and when I got to the side of the freeway I opened the hood and there was a little bit of smoke coming from the rear passenger side of motor and the engine bay was very hot. And when I got back into the car it would not start, So I had the car towed to the dealer and they said that I had coolant in the intake manifold and that I had very little compression and so with that they said that it would not be covered under warranty due to the mods, so I had the towed back home and now this is where im at.

So my question is do you think it is my headgasket and if so what is the process for me to verify this?
Any advice would be greatly apprciated.

Thanks,
Lonny.

Mods suck. Did you do the work? You should know whether the coolant line is hooked to the intake. I suspect a bad intake gasket or installation of same. Head gasket can be tested with a leak down test.

Yes I did the work myself and a leak down test is a good way to verify, Can you please tell me how to perform a leak down test?

Thanks,
Lonny.
