Hi, i have a 1993 Honda Civic ex 1.6 vtec D16Z6 SOHC engine with 164,000 miles on it. When i turn the car on it revs up normally. As soon as it gets warm the idle drops to 800pm and it starts to fluctuate from 800rpm to 1300 rpm. I,ve bought new the Idle Air Control Valve and also the Fast Idle Thermo Valve but the problem doesn't go away. Is there anything else i should be checking? Thanks in advance for your help.

Look at the coolant level in the cooling system. Purge the air from the cooling system. EGR valve could be an issue.

I've checked the coolant level, i've purged air from it and i can't find and EGR valve on this engine. I've checked emissions diagrams for this engine and apparently doesn't have an EGR valve. Now this just came to me as a new notice, i talked to the former owner and he told me that he changed the computer but the one he put was for the same model, year and engine but for an automatic transaxles. This model is stick shift. Will this affect in anyway the correct functioning of the engine? :(
