1992 honda civic 4 door 220000 miles. My car hesitates while driving, and when I start it the engine revs(its an automatic) real bad. I was just doing a glance over simple things like the spark plugs, oil, and when I got to the air filter I was surprised to see it was brand new! I"ve had the car for almost a year now and not once have I changed it. Could there be a leak in my intake system, and could that be causing my car to run sloppy?

Yes it could. I would look over the air intake ducts and see if it has disconnected. Could be sucking air from other than your filter, and that is not good. If this is the case, your throttle body, along with most sensors are probably dirty and in need of cleaning. This is probably where your poor running condition is coming from.
