My car spudders upon acceleration when I need to get up and go(giver or passing), if I drive slow it is fine, my rpms do not go crazy while the spuddering takes place.I have changed my plugs and wires, valve cover seal and spark plug seals because I noticed oil in the 1st(left to right)spark plug compartment were the ingnition wire attaches to the plug, I also added a fuel injector cleaner in to my gas tank and I have had no luck so far in this. Do you have any ideas what this could be caused by and could it possible that the oil could of come up into the plug area from the combustion area?

Hi trotch2,

The oil should be from the plug seals and not from the cylinders.

Did you check the distributor and igniiont coil?

Were the plug wires OEM or after market and did problem go away after replacement, at least for a short period of time?

I would of never thought to check there because I just replaced the rotor and cap last year. It was the rotor, it looked liked it was fallen apart with a white build up and also there was a build up inside the cap from it, put in a spare and it was all back to normal and felt great. Thank you so much, now I will tell 10 people what a great site this is.
