2000 Honda Civic spark plugs

When driving home from work today, one of the spark plugs shot out. The threads on it seem fine but the wire to it are shreaded. I left the car in a parking lot. What happened and does this sound serious?

Hi there,

You will need to have a tap run down the thread just to make sure it doesn't need to be helicoiled, if that is ok fit a new plug and replace the ignition lead, I would be checking the other plugs are tight as well.
