Hi myasirj,

This is an aluminium head and engine block and surface run out of both are common after blowing head gaskets.

Were they refaced before replacement of the gasket?

Ya they refaced the upper portion of the head but not the lower one, I mean where we can fix the gaskit on it that portion is not refaced and says by meachanic it will fix automatically when it become warms, and says it creates some carbon to fill the minuute hole automatically. By the way thanks for the response and so nice of u.

Hi myasirj,

You are welcomed.

If the block surface was not shiny and has carbon on the rims of the cylinders, it defiinely is not level and would not seal itself. You need to reface it or replace the block if the outer part of the liner is badly corroded.

Oil in the cooling system might be due to remnants from the repair or due to a cracked head. Was the head pressure tested?

If the coolant is disappearing from the radiator, is the reserve tank overflowing out or the level is higher? If so, definetely the gasket is the fault.
