Car is a daily driver 80 miles a day, never had a problem. Was driving to the store and went to step on the gas at the stoplight and it started to run rough and the engine light came on and is flashing. Drove it back home and Looked under the hood. Just had a tune up 8 months ago, oil was changed 2000 miles ago and has a half tank of gas in it. It seems like it wants to die at a stoplight and has a little trouble taking off at a stop but it does drive but is really rough.

Check engine light on

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on

I suggest goin to an autozone near you and getting it checked out there. The code will tell you exactly what the problem is. Before you do that make sure the spark plug wires and snug into the head. Happened to me before and I thought it was because an exhaust leak but it was just the spark plug being loose. Hope it helps.
