When I turn off my wipers, they go all the way down but comes back up to about a 15 degree angle. When I go over small bumps or my car wobbles, the wipers goes off and wipes. This started happening around christmas when I was driving in the rain and it was pouring pretty hard on the freeway and I turn them to max because it was really pouring and after the rain slowed down I turned it off and this is when it starteding to act like this. When I push it down all the way, it stays but if I turn it on or go over wobble enough to where it goes off, it returns to the raise of 15 degree. What could be the problem?

Hello -

I am providing this information for a 1998 Honda Civic DX Coupe, 1.6L.

I am giving you how to check out the switch. However it may also be the wiper motor also. I have attached that TSB for your review.

I would test the switch out and then if good replace the motor as the TSB states.
