Hi jayjay91,

The spark plugs are not directly connected to the ECU so should not.

Hi jayjay91,

Predictions are not for mechanics, we analyse and try to come to a conclusion before giving out any advise.

If the ECM gets burnt while cranking, or with ignition on, there should be a shorting somewhere.

A loose ground would also cause power surge to it.

This is going to be a nightmare, to pinpoint the fault would not be easy.

Look around all wirings and see if any are bare.

Before this, did you do anything to the car? If you did, back track and see where you have gone wrong.

When did this start happening?
