1996 Honda Civic 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving to work when I drove through some standing water, the check engine light instantly came on and the engine started sputtering. Any ideas on what that may be?

Hi Steve G,

When the CEL indicates, an error has been detected by the engine management system and you need to retrieve the trouble code to understand what could be wrong.

Get a free scan done at Autozone and let me know the EXACT trouble code.
