I was driving my car and when I put on my signal to turn it didn't work then I noticed my speedometer, temp, and fuel gauges also didn't work. So without thinking since I was at red light waiting I put into park and couldn't get it out of park until I put key into the gear shift release lock. I had someone disable the release lock so I can drive it but why did that happen and why are my dash gauges not working. And are the problems related or connected somehow?

Hi there,

I would be checking all the fuses and fusible links, often with a group of lights or controls dropping out it can be a fuse problem, it may not be blown but a dirty or corroded connection, so thy should be check with a test light, start here.
