1993 Honda Civic the car went dead while I was going to wor

I checked the fuel filter and the fuel pump and the car will not turn over // I was wondering could it have anything to do with the spark plugs and wiring /// or could the distributor cap be bad //// im I on the wrong track /// the car acts as if it is going to start but does not turn over and when it was going it went dead and has not crunk sense

Distributor failures are very common on these vehicles.

Have you checked for strong spark yet mmicheaux? That is the first step to diagnosing your vehicle.

This link will explain how to properly check for spark.

But yes, you remove the spark plug wire, put a screwdriver into the wire and hold it about 1/4" away from a chassis ground and it should spark while the vehicle is being cranked.
