1991 Honda Civic engine replacement

I replaced the engine out of my 1991 honda civic Lx 1.5L with the engine from a 1988 Honda civic DX 1.5L and would like to know if my distributor from my 1991 will work with the engine from the 1998

Hello,

According to part numbers they are different. So, I would say no it won't work. However, pull them out marking which is which. Put them side by side and check everything including sizes of shafts.
