Hi I am planning to buy 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 with 145k miles. The owner told me that the mileage meter works sometime but most of the times it doesnt work.
He says that the engine needs to be running for atleast 10 mins then the mileage meter works. I cant believe him and when I went to auto repair shop the guy told me that the car radiator hose and timing belt needs to be replaced. The car passed the emission test and safety test. The owner is asking $6900 for that car.

Is it a good deal?

Thanks

Not really sure whether the price is all that good. I would consult the online Kelley Blue Book. The timing belt is a fairly expensive item to replace. The odometer issue is probably related to the VSS or the odometer itself.

Other known issues with the car are a bad design on the rear wheel bearing and side air bag sensors seem a bit sensitive. Otherwise I have nothing else bad to say about the car. When putting in the information in the Kelley Blue Book it will take in to account the mileage but I doubt I would enter the vehicle as in mint condition. See what it kicks out.
