How do I replace a 96 Honda Accord 6 cyl thermostat? Also where is the thermostat located?

1996 Honda Accord and it has 225,000 miles.

The car failed the California smog check and the tester said it may be a bad thermostat.

Are you experiencing problems with overheating on the guage? Do you get a check engine light?

To find the thermostat on any car, follow the large radiator hose on the top to a junction where a smaller hose should also be connected. There will be a housing there for the thermostat. If all else fails, get yourself a ervice manual at a parts store for about $20.
