2003 Honda Accord

The engine light has gone on and stays on!
There doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the car. But the manual says it could be a problem.
My husbands 1998 Accord has 121000 miles on it, the engine light has been on for the past 40000 miles, and no trouble there. What do I do?

Hi Ledman,

When the Check Engine Light comes on, there must be something wrong. Just that it could be something that can be overlooked but not all problems can be left alone. When the CEL shows, the ECM would use a aubstitute value for the sensor or component that is faulty and this would affect the fuel economy and performance, though it might be insignificant.

It is best to get a scan done to find out what is wrong.
