We purchased this vehicle in Feb 2008. While the car is idling in park, the cabin shakes more than it should. When driving with the AC on, the car seems to lose some power. When we first bought the car it was shifting into gears hard, but since March, we haven't experienced this problem. We've had the engine checked, recharged the AC, replaced the transmission fluid and changed the oil. What are we missing, aside from replacing the transmission?

Hi tesajene,

Usually when vibratons are felt at idling, it should be the engine mounts that are faulty.

When the car has not been used for a period of time, the trans tends to shift erractically after initial restart but after running it for some time, if the problem goes away, it should be ok. There should be no necessity of replacing the trans.
