DRL's do not work?

DRL's do not work. My Drivers side high beam has no power at the socket, and the DRL's do not work. When I release the brake the DRL dash light stays on. The low beams work fine, but when I turn the high beams on, only the passenger side works and the dash light does not show the high beams as being on. I have swapped the lights and relays in the engine compartment and the passenger side still works correctly. It seems to be getting power at both fuse panels inside the car, one 7.5 and one 10 amp marked as Day lights. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Wizcat,

Your problem should be due to thr DRL control unit located behind left side of dash.

Hi, DRL light comes on at desktop. It used to go off by itself before but not anymore. So, I normally have to run headlights during day time also. I checked fuse on both sides on door, everything is fine. Relay is also fine under hood. I replaced the same from my friend's car and still have same problem. And also checked relay from car in my friend's car and everything is fine. And right hand side high beam light is also not working. I checked the bulb, it is fine. I even replaced the bulb, but still having same problem. Mechanics are asking for full wiring check, which might cost somewhere around 150$. If there is something more I can check and fix by myself, it would be gr8. Thanks in advance.

Hi jaan285,

The symptoms described seems to indicate a faulty DRL control unit.

I have attached the wiring schematics for you.
