how to check the throttle position sensors on a 1998 honda accord?It started to idle high and low. But now it want start at all.

Hi gunnone95,

Surging is seldom or never caused by the TPS. What you need to check would be the coolant level, Idle Air Control Valve, throttle body and idle adjust screw.

Click the " First things to Check " link at bottom of post to get an idea what to look for when ngine cannot be started. We will get to the surging after we get the car started.

Check the coolant level first, hope you have not damaged the engine by overheating due to loss of coolant.
