1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 141000 miles

I had my head gasket done had the car for 3 hours got on the highway to go home oil light came on the the car wouldn't accelrate pulled over to the side of the road cut the car off tried to cut back on and it wouldn't had it pick up the guy said I needed a engine now he says I need a cam what ever that may be can you please help I love my honda they are good cars and can't afford to get a new car with a car note

The red oil light is put there as an emergency warning to stop the engine immediately. If you continue to drive a car with an oil light on, you can pretty much be assured that you will fry the engine, especially if you drive it until it quits.

You may have a case against the shop if you can determine the failure was caused by them somehow but you still should have stopped the car immediately.

I stopped the car when this happen and the guy is saying that I need a cam first it was an engine now he says I just need a cam does this sound anywhere about right he asked if I wanted to sell the car to him also I just don't know what to do at this point at all and it has set up for about 2yrs

I don't see the correlation between the oil light and the cam. I don't think your getting all the details.
