My car was functioning normally until today at a stop sign, I was running my A/C and the temp gauge starts to rise to dangerous levels. I pull over and see steam rise from my hood. Opened the hood to see the hose connecting my radiotor to the thermostat housing is blown off at the radiator. The fan started to run, cooling down the engine, so I decided to wait a lil bit to restart the engine. I started it up again and the fan would not run, it started to heat again so I shut it off. I turned on the ignition and tried to run the heater to see if it would engage the fan but it did not. I started doing some inspection and testing. After I turned off the ignition the fan would start up, cooling off the engine. What would be my course of action.

Hi cantcatch115,

Get the hose repaired/replaced and bleed the system and test drive. Problem should be solved if yo have not overheated too badly. It is recommended to replace the thermostat.
