1994 Honda Accord

I have a 94 honda accord recently the transmission has been acting up. It will go fine down the road for about 5 or 10 miles then wont shift at all. All I do is cut it off then cut it back on the it will shift fine again for about 5 or 10 miles weird problem do you know what it could be?

Hi there,

There are only a few checks that the home mechanic can do on auto transmissions, as most of the problems will require expensive diagnostic equipment, I would just check the condition of the oil ( not burnt or discoluored and the quantity is correct, next step will be a visit to a transmission specialist for a test & report, start here.
