I have a 91 accord that is having some idle problems. Upon initial start and warm up there is no problem, but after it is driven, I am assuming after a certain rpm has been reached the idle starts to fluctuate. Its most noticable when you stop and put the car back into park. Almost like you are giving it gas and letting off. My mechanic is basically stumped. At last contact he said it may be the MAP sensor. Please help.

Since it does not do the surging all of the time, check these things.

- Vacuum leak
- EGR valve not working properly
- Coolant in the radiator low
- Air in the cooling system
- PCV could be plugged
